Get customers to buy from you more frequently.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It doesn't matter what business you own, these are the only 3 ways to generate higher revenue.  All three of these can be accomplished when you understand good marketing and take it upon your shoulders to achieve them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The interesting part is that a small increase in each of these areas can bring explosive growth to your company's revenue.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Let's give a very simplified example:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Assume that your business has 1000 customers in a year that spend an average of $50 per transaction, and average 3 purchases per year.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;These 1000 customers equate to $150,000 in revenue to your business.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1000 customers X $50 per transaction X 3 purchases per year = $150,000.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now let's see what happens when all areas achieve a 10% increase.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1100 customers X $55 per transaction x 3.3 purchases per year.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This 10% increase across the three areas of the equation would result in $199,650 in revenue to your business.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is a $49,650 increase in your revenues!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This overly simplified example doesn't account for the long term growth as these customers purchase from you year after year!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is exactly why it is vitally important to understand marketing and how to achieve incremental increases across these categories in your business.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is how marketers think. I sell both and you should start with what you are comfortable selling. I started with digital products because it is simple to do.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Some of the benefits of selling a digital product are that you have no shipping because it's immediately delivered to the customer via download; you have no inventory, and you have no product cost after the product has been developed.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Step # 2 COPYWRITING: Writing a KILLER sales letter that becomes your 24/7 salesman on your website (money site).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Your product is sold by the words that prospects read on the screen when they arrive at your site. So after developing a product, the second step is to put a sales letter on your website that becomes your 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, and 365 days per year salesperson.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The sales letter has only one job. Sell your product! I have found that many people shy away from writing sales letters or they do it completely wrong.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The truth is that it's really not that hard once you understand the psychology behind it and learn a few proven formulas. Yes it will take some practice, but once you get more comfortable and get your style polished, then you'll be able to whip them off over and over again.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Step # 3 GENERATING TRAFFIC: Once you have a sales letter on your website, then you need to send traffic it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There are many ways to get traffic, but I think the easiest and quickest way is to pay for it. For example you can buy pay per click, banners ads, or ads in online newsletters. These are only a few of the many ways that you can buy traffic.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I've found that the next quickest and easiest way to get traffic is to start an affiliate program. An affiliate program is similar to having a sales force working for you without the headaches of hiring or managing people. As individuals (or businesses) sign up as an affiliate with your program, then they get special links that they use to send prospects to your website.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Step # 4 CAPTURING SALES: The fourth step involves the proper tools that allow you to accept credit cards and process a sale. You'll need a merchant account or an account with PayPal or Clickbank (Clickbank is only for digital products).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1Shoppingcart is also a very powerful tool that allows you to automate your sales process and your customer follow up.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Step # 5 INCREASING VISITOR VALUE: Increase the value of the customer by up-selling, cross-selling, and offering backend products and revenue generating sources.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There are ONLY three ways to increase revenue in any business. The three ways to increase your revenues are:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Increase your number of customers&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. Increase the average transaction size&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3. I've always been able to use it as one of my marketing tools to generate big profits with my online marketing.  However, I've met many individuals who have never been able to build profitable PPC campaigns for their business.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There are several possible reasons why PPC hasn't worked for these internet marketers.  Let's assume that these people are smart marketers and understand how to use PPC effectively.  This is a big assumption because I've seen plenty of individuals 'think' they know what they are doing, but really don't.  It's a shame to see this happen.  I don't like to see anybody wasting money on ineffective marketing strategies.  Nothing can be more ineffective than doing it WRONG!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, let's assume that they actually know what they are doing.  In this case it is possible that the market they are in is too competitive for them to compete.  This can be true if most of their competition consists of large corportations or big businesses.  For example, if you are competing with corporate giants that sell $20,000 software programs to businesses and you sell a $69 info product, then it may be tough to fight them for good ad placement.  They will be willing to pay much higher per click because of the profits they can make.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(FYI- Here is an interesting way that you can actually get your &lt;a href="http://lazymarktr.freegoogle.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=RRBLOG"&gt;Google ads free&lt;/a&gt;.)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Another possibility is that these marketers are targeting keywords that are too general for their audience.  This can happen easily and go unrecognized by the marketer.  In this case, they may be able to create a profitable campaign by eliminating the keywords that are generating traffic but not converting to sales.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pay per click can be a rough game for all marketers, especially newbies.  Sometimes the only way to get a campaign profitable is by tweaking and fine tuning multiple variables.  This costs money.  There is no way around it and it can often knock a newbie out of the game before they ever get started.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;On a side note:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you are sick and tired of the PPC game and want a way to get FREE search listing traffic, then checkout the system by Chris Rempel and Dave Kelly. It's Google's answer to Wikipedia and allows authors to publish content and articles about their area of expertise or interest.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Unlike Wikipedia though, you can set your knols to prevent users from adding, revising, and making changes to your knols.  After creating a few knols today, it seems to be more like a Squidoo or Hubpages than Wikipedia. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It will be interesting to see if Google gives any extra weight in the search engine listings to their Knol pages over Wikipedia pages.  Of course, Google says that they won't, but with Google placing their ads on Knol pages it seems it might be in their interest to display their pages above their competition.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is going to be a huge opportunity for online marketers to create knols in their area of expertise that can help brand them as experts, introduce their services, and drive traffic to their websites.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;One caution of warning! I hear reasons to why they feel that their dreams are not attainable. These “reasons” are really “excuses”. In business and in life you can’t have both success and make excuses at the same time. You must choose one or the other.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Most of the time excuses are based on myths. When you discover that these excuses are myths and not reality, then it makes it easier to move forward with confidence.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here are some of the most common myths about building a home-based internet business:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Myth # 1:&lt;/strong&gt; Web design is too hard and I don’t know how to build a website.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Reality:&lt;/strong&gt; Building a website has never been easier. Most hosting companies have templates that allow anybody who can type to build a website. In addition, there is software that makes building a website as easy as using a word processor. I recommend that you learn basic web design skills so that you have an understanding of how it works. However, you can also outsource this to a professional or hire a high school or college student to do it for you. Depending on the complexity of your website, a professional shouldn’t charge you more than $500. I’ve had complete sites built for as little as $200. This may be even cheaper if you find a local student willing to make a few extra bucks.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;M&lt;strong&gt;yth #2:&lt;/strong&gt; I’d like to sell an information product, but I’m not qualified to write a book or make a product. Only experts are qualified for this.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Reality:&lt;/strong&gt; Firstly, you may be an expert in something already and not realize it. You may know more about raising children, training dogs, stamp collecting, coaching, teaching, knitting, carpentry, or [fill in any subject] than most people. Secondly, it isn’t difficult to become an expert if you are not one already. If you know just a fraction more than the next person, then you can be perceived as an expert. In addition, you don’t need the “expert fairy” to come along and waive a magic wand declaring you as an expert. You do not need anyone’s permission to become an authority in a subject matter. Go to the library and read 10 books on any subject and you will become an authority compared to everyone else. If you don’t want to become an expert, then borrow the expertise of someone else. Build a partnership with an expert. Interview experts and consolidate all the information into a book.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Myth #3:&lt;/strong&gt; I don’t have time.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Reality:&lt;/strong&gt; You don’t have time NOT to find time. You have the same 24 hours per day as the rest of the population. This life is not a trial run. This life is the real thing. If you want to own your own business, then you can’t afford not to schedule the time. I understand that you are busy. Everyone is busy. Make the time to do something each day or each week—even if you schedule only 20 minutes per day or one hour per week. A lack of time is an excuse. Put time in today in order to have more free time in the future... make it happen.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Myth #4:&lt;/strong&gt; I don’t know/understand software, shopping carts, credit cards, accounting, legalities, or [any other excuse] of starting a business.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Reality:&lt;/strong&gt; C’mon... are you really going to let a weak excuse like this stop you from pursuing your dream? Go to the library and get an understanding. Find a friend who is an attorney and ask them. Find a friend that has their own business and ask them. Get the information you need so that you feel comfortable.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Myth #5:&lt;/strong&gt; It’s too late in the game, or there is too much competition.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Reality:&lt;/strong&gt; The internet is still in its infancy. More people are getting online ever single day. Consumers are spending more and more money online every year. The marketplace can handle competitors. Do you think Burger King refuses to put up a restaurant because McDonalds was on the corner first? Did Bill Gates refuse to start Microsoft because IBM and Apple computers existed? Yes, you may see competitors in the marketplace, but it doesn’t mean that you can’t succeed. It doesn’t mean that you can’t become bigger and better than companies that already exist. There is usually more than one dry cleaner in a neighborhood. There is usually more than one restaurant in any given area. There is often more than one car dealership on the same street. There will always be competition... get over it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Myth #6:&lt;/strong&gt; I need to find the one magic bullet, or that one piece of information that will give me all the answers to success.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Reality:&lt;/strong&gt; We discussed this earlier. There is NO magic bullet. Gain some knowledge and then try. Gain more knowledge and then try some more. Don’t be afraid to fail your way forward. Just take some action and get started! You will have to go through a learning curve to achieve your desired success. It will take work, dedication, and commitment. You must commit to gaining the knowledge and put that knowledge into action. You have all the power to make your dreams reality—there is no magic bullet.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Myth #7:&lt;/strong&gt; I need a new or original idea.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Reality:&lt;/strong&gt; While it would be great if you found a brand new idea that has never been done before, it isn’t how most people achieve success. My experience tells me that most success is found by modeling an existing idea. Much success is reached by becoming a direct competitor of an existing idea or product that is already successful. Don’t waste your time trying to reinvent the wheel. Look for something that works and make it better or add to it. It is much easier to see what is already working and follow the path of least resistance.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Myth #8:&lt;/strong&gt; I need the perfect product and it will sell itself.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Reality:&lt;/strong&gt; Nothing sells itself. Good marketing and advertising sells things. If you spend all your time trying to think of the perfect product, then you might never get started. Everything has its flaws. Find out what people want to buy and sell it to them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The sooner you believe that these “excuses” are only myths and not realities, the sooner you can get out of the way of yourself and begin building a successful business.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Remember... you cannot make excuses and have success at the same time. It's popularity is now definitely reaching mainstream marketers as a powerful tool to promote websites.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It's important to understand that &lt;a href="http://www.google.com/"&gt;Google&lt;/a&gt; frowns upon link buying strategies and it may be this understanding that keeps paid links from exploding into a powerful economic force.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However, there are millions of dollars exchanging hands every month... including Fortune 500 companies... and with millions invested in companies that facilitate the commerce of links, it's tough to say that link selling has not gone mainstream.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Search engines are hostile towards paid links because they unnaturally affect their organic listings.  Since paid links can tip the balance between the natural search rankings amongst competitive businesses, search engines have taken steps to combat the practice.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you decide to purchase incoming links, then be aware that you may suffer repercussions from the engines like &lt;a href="http://yahoo.com/"&gt;Yahoo &lt;/a&gt;and Google.  These penalties may range from minimal to outright banning in the SERPs (search engine results pages). &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It's true that search engines may have a difficult time identifying paid links, but it's not known to what extent.  It's clear that Google has become proficient at identifying "irrelevant" links from sites that aren't relative and causing them to pass little or no PageRank, but to the extent that they can determine if a link is "paid" for is another story.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;One must guess that the search giant is at a minimum manually graphing paid link networks, which will soon (if not already) devalue link sellers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The immediate risk to a site owner comes from its competitors.  Google encourages webmasters to actively report link buyers and makes it easy through their Webmaster Tools section.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In summary, if you decide to purchase links to help with your website promotion, then "buyer beware".  Yes, you may increase your exposure by moving up in the SERPs, but I feel that this is a short term strategy at best.  The party will come to an end... whether it's 6 months, or 2 years.  Let's face it... In a nutshell, niche marketing is simply breaking markets into tightly targeted segments of potential customers. The truth of the matter is that almost every market is already a niche market, however, when we talk about niche marketing we narrow in our focus even more.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;What do I mean when I say every market is already a niche market?&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;I mean that all prospects you target are already a smaller sample of a bigger population. Whether you sell to women, men, young, old, business owners, boaters, skaters, engineers, train enthusiasts, etc.... you are selling to a group of people interested in your product or service. However, when we say niche marketing... it tends to refer to lasering in on even a tighter segment of prospects and customers.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;For example, if your product usually attracts extreme sport enthusiasts, then a "niche" market to go after might be skateboarders. If your product attracts women, then a niche market may be women that work in a hospital. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="center"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;How To Find and Create Products&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="center"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;One tool that I use to brainstorm product creating is a free tool from Overture (now YahooSearch). This tool allows you to type in search phrases and keywords to find how often internet users are searching for them.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;For example if you type in the word "dog training" this tool will tell you how often people are searching for dog training online. It also suggests more "niche" terms around dog training, like "dog behavior training" or "dog training school". The terms that are more niched may suggest that people searching for these terms are closer to a buying decision. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;For example if you go to Google and type in the movie "wedding crashers" then you may be looking for a video clip, the cast members, dvd information, etc. It is very broad and general. However, if you type in "wedding crashers Toms River New Jersey AMC 20 Theater", then you may be looking for showtimes at the AMC 20 in Toms River, NJ. It is much more specific. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;Knowing the specific terms that internet users are searching for is a HUGE advantage for several reasons. One advantage is that you can bid on those specific keywords with PPC search engines and the people that click on your ads may be closer to a buying decision.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;You can play around with this with the FREE tool at: &lt;a href="http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com"&gt;http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;Type in phrases, keywords, thoughts, ideas, your self interests...whatever... and see how often these terms are being searched for. Then you can go to Google.com or Yahoo.com and again type in the same keywords and see if other advertisers are paying for PPC ads.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;If advertisers are paying for ads under those keywords, then there is a chance that they are making money with whatever they are selling.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;This is a great way to research the market before you decide to sell a product. Branding is a method that large companies use to "brand" their image, their name, their products into the mind of the public. Would you choose any of these? What would the one advantage be that you would like to have?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How about "a starving crowd."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Don't you think this would be a good advantage to have over your competition?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You can see proof of that this is true in the "roach coach" business (the food trucks that come around to factories and business parking lots). Establish Credibility:  Why should the reader believe what you say?  &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;3.  Problem - Agitate - Solve:  State a problem that will relate to your reader.  Then agitate that problem in the readers head and get them completely worked up and in a frenzy until they are ready to jump off a bridge... then offer a solution (your product or service).&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;4.  Introduce your product:  You must formally introduce your product and this is the solution to their problem so it makes a smooth transition.  &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;5.  State features as benefits:  Customers buy benefits so make sure that when you state a feature of the product that you list it as benefit driven.  Remember the customer will always be thinking "What's in it for me?" and benefits are a great way to tell them what is in it for them.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;6.  Testimonials:  Use real life testimonials from satisfied customers.  Use as much personal information in the testimonial as possible.  Readers will believe a testimonial more if it has a person's full name, city, state, profession, etc.  &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;7.  Build Value&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;8. Reason Why Copy:  It has been proven that if you give a reason why you are doing something, then it becomes a more powerful persuader.  For example don't just say that you are giving a discount on the product if they buy today.  Tell them WHY you are giving a discount on the product if they buy today.  The reason doesn't even have to be good.  Just give one.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;9.  Offer bonuses &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;10.  Create scarcity:  This can be done by limiting the amount of product you are willing to sell.  &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;11.  Guarantee&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;12. They still don't comprehend how powerful this strategy really is and they are not taking any action to build their business with this incredible tool.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, I find myself writing about it again here so that it may help both types of people that I meet and talk to you.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Okay, you may be asking what this simple, yet proven strategy is and how do you use it, right?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;Drum roll please....&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What marketing tool is so powerful that it basically gives you a legal license to print money?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;The LIST!&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The money is in the list. The money is in the list. The money is in the list.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How many times have you heard marketers talk about this concept? All the time! Why? Because it is true. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Let me give you an example of what this means and one way it can be used on a small scale.&lt;br /&gt;One of my websites has an email list of about 15,000 prospects. I built this list over time by collecting names and emails of visitors who landed on my website. Normally, I bribe them to enter their contact information by offering a free report or something of value that they can download in exchange for entering their name and email address.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is a strong list because the prospects that visit my website are interested in what it has to offer. So I can now "drip" follow up email messages to these 15,000 people to keep my name, product, or service in front of them forever! I can send them emails to bring them back to my website and try to sell a product to them. I can send them an email with a special offer or sale price. I can send them free articles and content that they have interest in to build my relationship with them.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I can send as many follow up emails as I want for as long as I want and it basically costs me NOTHING to do this. I spend a small monthly fee on software that I use, but it's a fixed cost. It doesn't matter if I send 10,000 emails or 10 emails, the fixed cost is the same.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Let's discuss a real life examples of how I recently used this to make money. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;First, I recently made an extra $1,000 by sending a Halloween email to my list offering them 30% off my products if they purchased during a 3-day Sale that I was running. This email was simple. I just explained that I'm doing a Halloween Sale and they can save money on my products if they buy now. It had a link in the email message to a website that described the products and had purchase links.This little "Halloween Sale" made me $1,000.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;At the same time I was doing this, I had another website in an entirely different niche market with an email list of around 12,000 prospects. I sent an email message to these prospects offering a brand new product for sale. The product sold for just under $40 and I sold 50 of them.&lt;br /&gt;Let's do the math. 50 units sold at $40 each equals $2,000!  That's an easy $2,000 I made by sending out an email.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Do you begin to see how the "money is in the list"?&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If I didn't have a list built like the above examples, then I wouldn't have had the opportunity to do what I did. If you invest $800 per month on this service, but in return you make an additional $1,500 per month in new business from it, then it is a great service. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;Make sense?&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;Anyway, this is suppose to be the short version. This company pays my friend a 30% ongoing, residual commission for each customer he refers. He referred almost 50 new customers to this company at $800 per month. That equals $247 (approximately) in ongoing, monthly commission multiplied by 50 customers. That's $12,350 per month that he made per month. Again, this was all done in one afternooon. How would you like to be in control of your income like that? How pumped would you be if you gave yourself over $144,000 per year from one afternoon.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;And yes... I am happy to say that I'm a new customer of this product/service and I'm excited about it and I was referred by my friend (let's just say he can pick up my next dinner).&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;It may sound like a lot of money to spend on something, but the truth is that I spend big money all the time if I feel like it will benefit my business and move me forward.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;After buying this product I'm probably in the neighborhood of $15,000 to $20,000 this year alone on products and services. Most of that is spent on &lt;a href="http://www.instantinternetprofits.com/?14575"&gt;internet marketing information&lt;/a&gt;, internet marketing tools, and resources to increase my business. Some of it is spent in travel expense in order to attend a seminar on internet marketing.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;Anything that can make me more money or give me new ideas is worth buying.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;Unfortunately, not all people look at it this way. I say that they are short sighted because they think I'm crazy if I tell them that I just bought a new product that costs $800 per month or almost $10,000 per year. They think I'm nuts if I tell them that I spend $5,000 to go to a seminar for a few days. They roll their eyes when they see a big box of crap land on my porch for which I paid $1,000 or $2,000.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;If you are not investing in yourself by gaining new knowledge or just refreshing yourself on the knowledge you already possess, then you are losing out. Every great success that I personally know are in a constant state of self education. They are in a constant state of investing in themselves and their business. If you are not doing the same, then you AND your business will suffer.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;Yes, the internet is a beautiful thing. My friend is now making an additional $12,000+ per month and he does't have to do a damn thing! I say fabulous. I also say good for the company that is selling this new $800 per month product/service because as I understand, they acquired just over 1300 customers in one day. That is over $1 Million per month in revenue-- now that is awesome. They achieved that all through the internet. Can I say that I love the internet one last time? I want you to understand that even though I'm a huge proponent of selling your own product or service, you can also make a boatload of cash in this business by referring customers to other companies that pay you a commission.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;We call this &lt;a href="http://www.superaffiliatehandbook.com/cbae/?a=6B7Pdkk4"&gt;affiliate marketing&lt;/a&gt;. It's a brilliant concept because you can have an army of people (affiliates) out there referring prospects to your website and you only have to pay a commission when you acquire a paying customer. This is great because you don't have to spend money upfront in advertising to make a sale. You only pay out after a customer has purchased from you.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;Your affiliates like it because they don't have any customer service or inventory. They simply lead prospectso you and then they get paid. It was interesting to hear their ideas that they have come up with so far by brainstorming amongst themselves. They had some great ideas and insights. It was also interesting to discover our little differences because they were all between 45 and 55 years old and female, while I'm 34 and male. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;This is important because my experiences and passions are quite different than most of their experiences and passions and it never ceases to amaze me how much you can learn by asking questions and listening to answers.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;They brought me into this meeting to get some ideas about creating a product to sell on the internet. The product that they had in mind was targeted at women. It is a neat product and I think that if they could get prospects to learn about the product, then there would be interest in buying it.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;However, I spoke to them about taking the path of least resistance when creating a new product and bringing it to the marketplace. So often new entrepreneurs get caught up with trying to think of the next latest and greatest invention that it often cripples them in moving forward. In addition, it doesn't take the next latest and greatest to make you money.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;We talked at length about finding a market of people that need solutions to their problems and pains. The path of least resistance is not to &lt;a href="http://www.33daystoonlineprofits.com/?14575"&gt;create a product&lt;/a&gt; that nobody really knows about or has interest in. It doesn't matter how great it is if nobody wants it. Sure you can spend a boatload of money and effort trying to convince people of how wonderful your product or service is, but isn't it much easier to find out what people want to buy and then just sell it to them?&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;That is the secret to product creation that most people get wrong. Forget about what you think is great and wonderful and focus on what customers want. They will tell you exactly what they want and then you can customize a product around that demand. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;If you follow this strategy, then customers will line up and practically beg you to take their credit cards. They need what you sell. They want what you sell. You don't have to convince them of anything.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;One of the first websites that I ever developed sold over $75,000 worth of product in the first 12 months. This was over 4 years ago. That site today still does well over 6 figures yearly. Why? An upsell simply offers your customer something more than what they are in the process of buying.  You could upsell a bigger and better version of your product or service, an additional product that complements what they are buying, a how to guide, or whatever else can give value to your customer.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;Fast food chains use the upsell every day to make millions of dollars more each year.  When you order a cheeseburger at McDonalds, they immediately ask if you want fries with that.  Or they will ask you to supersize it for 50 cents more or whatever it is.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;This is an upsell.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;I have a website in a niche market that sells a $69 information product.  When the customer clicks on the buy button they immediately get hit with an upsell.  The upsell is for an additional $97 product that complements the first product they are in the process of buying.  This takes the total sale to $166 from $69.  I have found over time that approximately 25 %- 30% of customers choose the higher price point and buy the upsell.  &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;If only 3 customers per day purchased the upsell, then that would be almost $9000 extra per month pure profit (the $97 product that I upsell is digitally delivered so there is no cost to me).&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;I have another product that offers an upsell at the point of purchase that raises the price of the product by 20%.  I have found that 75% of the customers choose the higher price point.  I've found that if your upsell is less money than the main product they are buying, then more customers will purchase it.   This of course will vary depending on the market you are in and you will need to test it yourself to find what works best.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;The first time I convinced a student of mine to offer an upsell at the point of purchase he began profiting an extra $1000 per month.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;Offering an upsell is a very simple technique to skyrocket your profits without doing any additional work.  The problem is that I see too many businesses not offering an upsell to their customers.  Why wouldn't they offer additional services or products?  &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;For starters, they may not understand how the technique works and may have never thought of it. Not all business owners are great marketers.  Secondly, sometimes business owners feel like they are interrupting the sale or are being too aggressive.  I say hogwash!  It is your duty to get your products and services into the hands of people that need them. You never have to fight rush hour traffic and you can spend time with the people that you care about and earn as much money as you want to earn.  It sometimes seems to good to be true.  I personally know of hundreds of people that do exactly what I'm talking about and I'm one of them. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We are like an underground community that silently puts out a net to capture some of the raging river of cash that is being spent on the world wide web by customers all around the world.  I wake up every morning with money in my account from customers in several countries.  The most common are the U.S.A, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.  But I also make sales to people in Japan, United Arab Emirates, France, Mexico, Spain, Iceland,  Ireland, and more. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How does this work?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It's acutally quite simple.  I send prospects to my different websites that offer a product or service that they are interested in and then I make an irresistable offer to them so that they practically whip out their credit cards and beg me to take their money.  They enter their information, hit submit, and presto they've just purchased from me.  Most of my product and services are digital downloads... this means that I have no inventory for them and the customers download the product from the internet just moments after purchasing.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is a beautiful thing because then I don't have anything to ship.  The transaction is done automatically and on autopilot.  They pay, they download the product, their happy.  I don't have to take phone calls or go to the post office or deal with predetermined hours.  Customers can buy from me at anytime from anywhere in the world and the transaction is completed without me having to do anything. I took my laptop to check in on things, but mostly I just check to see how much money is being deposited into my bank accounts each day.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Arial;font-size:85%;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Arial;font-size:85%;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Arial;font-size:85%;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Arial;font-size:85%;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Arial;font-size:85%;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Arial;font-size:85%;"&gt;I like to spend time with friends and you can often find me at an expensive seminar that charged $2,000 or more to attend. I only spend the money so I can go have fun and meet new people in this business. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Arial;font-size:85%;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Arial;font-size:85%;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Arial;font-size:85%;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Arial;font-size:85%;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Arial;font-size:85%;"&gt;When others ask me what I do, I often respond with "I'm a lazy-ass internet marketer" because I sometimes go months without doing much work. I'll brainstorm ideas because I really enjoy doing it, however, most people that know me well would say that I don't have a job and I don't work. The truth is that I do work... it's just much different than what most people are use to. Like I mentioned before, I like to spend time brainstorming... that is work. I also will spend some time making changes to my websites or my marketing messages. Again, that's work also. It just isn't really hard work and I can do it from anywhere at anytime.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Arial;font-size:85%;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Arial;font-size:85%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You may ask yourself, "Ryan Ringold, are you really that lazy? I'm mean c'mon... nobody can make that kind of money without working!"&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Arial;font-size:85%;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Arial;font-size:85%;"&gt;I'd like to tell you that I work my ass off day in and day out to bring in that kind of money (approx $60,000 this month). However, when you follow certain principles of marketing and apply them to the internet you can basically set up your business to be on complete autopilot. Money comes in day after day without having to do anything. I understood marketing because I had also been in sales and marketing. I had tried to start several businesses that usually ended in failure. Most coaches charge high fees to pass their hard earned knowledge onto you, however, it is available so that you don't have to go through the learning curve that I went through. If I had any money back when I started, I would have hired somebody to help me get up and running much quicker. But as fate had it... I was broke and had to learn on my own. I don't regret it because it was a great journey... but still one that you do not have to travel.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Arial;font-size:85%;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="left"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Arial;font-size:85%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Through the years I have helped several people make money from home using the internet. The first person that I took on as a student was my own brother. I begged him for almost two years to let me help him make money online before he finally joined me. Within one and half years of getting started he was doing around $25,000 per month on the internet.
