Making Money Through Couch Surfing

How do you use couch surfing to make more money?

I met a person this weekend at a seminar that has been traveling the country and crashing on strangers couches, while he finds himself in new places, meeting new people, and having exciting adventures.

Ori, from CouchSurfingOri.com, has been bouncing from couch to couch, meeting new people, developing relationships and friendships, and finding all types of adventure since 2007.

He describes himself as a workaholic who needed some adventure in his life. He also describes himself as funny, interesting, and a little bit weird.

I found him to be quite accurate in his self descriptions. Ori by far was one of the most interesting and entertaining individuals at the 400 person seminar. He seems to have a genuine interest in people and had some great stories to share about his couch surfing.

He thinks he has couched surfed with more than 100 people, but stopped keeping track around couch number 60.

He has crashed on the couch of cage fighters, roller derby players, models, successful business owners, and CEOs.

Ori also uses his high level skills as a talented photographer and videographer to capture and record his adventures.

If Ori couch surfs with you, you can be sure that he will leave you with some amazing photos!

So, How Do You Make More Money Couch Surfing?

Besides the fact that Ori accepts "gas money" contributions at his website, there is a bigger lesson here.

This lesson is about networking and building relationships with prospects, customers, and business owners.

Ori is developing some powerful relationships which have already opened up opportunities for him in the business world. When he meets people he isn't looking for "what they can do for him."

He has a sincere and genuine interest in people and relationships. Some of these relationships will open up doors for him. Some BIG names in internet marketing have already offered to lend support, offer free masterminding, and connect him with other people.

Couch surfing may be an unconventional method of networking, but it is working for my new friend.

Tony Hsieh, CEO of the billion dollar company Zappos.com, agreed to let him couch surf at his home when Ori makes it to Las Vegas!

Ori is building relationships, expanding his comfort zone, and having some fun. I commend him on his courage to go outside the box and do something that 99.99% of other people would be too scared to do.

These are ESSENTIAL skills that entrepreneurs need to develop to reach new levels of success, and Ori is doing a great job with all of them.

I HIGHLY recommend that you follow his adventures.

You can follow him on Twitter for daily updates of where he is and who he is with at:
http://twitter.com/couchsurfingori

You can also help him out by donating a tank of gas at http://www.couchsurfingori.com/donate.

He evens throws in a FREE 2 hour massage (when he arrives in your town) for every 20 tanks of gas that you donate! The two hour massage will only cost you $1,000, but you'll also have a chance to meet and hang out with Ori and learn all about his adventures!

Not a bad deal.

What a fabulous article! I think I have no comfort zone. Maybe I should make an infoproduct version of your article. It was a blast hanging with you & your brother (which is probably why you got to see so much of me)- and I can't wait to surf y'all's couch.
