I just came from my friend's office. He is an internet marketer like me and had me laughing because he just gave himself almost a $12,350 per month pay raise. That money was all made in one day. That is an extra $148,200 per year and it was made in one afternoon. I don't know about you, but that is exciting! The internet is a wonderful, wonderful thing. Oh yeah... it was made from internet marketing.

Let me explain.

I'll give you the short version. My friend endorsed another company's new product/service. This product sold for just under $800 monthly. Yes, monthly. The charge is automatically made on your credit card each month for this product. And no it isn't a house or a car. ;)

In case you're curious, I'll tell you that the product is to make you more money with your internet businesses, so it is an investment in your business. If you invest $800 per month on this service, but in return you make an additional $1,500 per month in new business from it, then it is a great service.

Anyway, this is suppose to be the short version. This company pays my friend a 30% ongoing, residual commission for each customer he refers. He referred almost 50 new customers to this company at $800 per month. That equals $247 (approximately) in ongoing, monthly commission multiplied by 50 customers. That's $12,350 per month that he made per month. Again, this was all done in one afternooon. How would you like to be in control of your income like that? How pumped would you be if you gave yourself over $144,000 per year from one afternoon.

And yes... I am happy to say that I'm a new customer of this product/service and I'm excited about it and I was referred by my friend (let's just say he can pick up my next dinner).

It may sound like a lot of money to spend on something, but the truth is that I spend big money all the time if I feel like it will benefit my business and move me forward.

After buying this product I'm probably in the neighborhood of $15,000 to $20,000 this year alone on products and services. Most of that is spent on internet marketing information, internet marketing tools, and resources to increase my business. Some of it is spent in travel expense in order to attend a seminar on internet marketing.

Anything that can make me more money or give me new ideas is worth buying.

Unfortunately, not all people look at it this way. I say that they are short sighted because they think I'm crazy if I tell them that I just bought a new product that costs $800 per month or almost $10,000 per year. They think I'm nuts if I tell them that I spend $5,000 to go to a seminar for a few days. They roll their eyes when they see a big box of crap land on my porch for which I paid $1,000 or $2,000.

If you are not investing in yourself by gaining new knowledge or just refreshing yourself on the knowledge you already possess, then you are losing out. Every great success that I personally know are in a constant state of self education. They are in a constant state of investing in themselves and their business. If you are not doing the same, then you AND your business will suffer.

Yes, the internet is a beautiful thing. My friend is now making an additional $12,000+ per month and he does't have to do a damn thing! I say fabulous. I also say good for the company that is selling this new $800 per month product/service because as I understand, they acquired just over 1300 customers in one day. That is over $1 Million per month in revenue-- now that is awesome. They achieved that all through the internet. Can I say that I love the internet one last time? God bless the world wide web!

The moral of my story today is actually to benefit you. I want you to understand that even though I'm a huge proponent of selling your own product or service, you can also make a boatload of cash in this business by referring customers to other companies that pay you a commission.
